Discipline Your Mind & Heart
You have to discipline your mind and heart because they are the vital organs of your spirit crucial in getting rid of lust.
Your mind is the counterpart of your brain and your heart which symbolizes your emotions and feelings is the counterpart of your physical heart that pumps and distributes blood to your body ; therefore, your mind is the brain of your spirit, the processor of your choices, and your (spiritual) heart does its part to fuel the energy with feelings and emotions needed to perform what the mind has processed and has decided to achieve.
When lust is activated, a sexual urge is triggered. Likewise, when a sexual urge is activated, lust is triggered.
Lust is a choice. If your mind is passive, it would allow lustful thoughts and feelings to linger, and your propensity is to go with the lustful thoughts and sensations that fuel your desire to conduct immoral acts in order to satisfy your sexual urge.
If your mind chooses to get rid of lust, it should aggressively suppress and stop the lust triggers by deactivating and deleting the lustful thoughts, feelings, and emotions. How? Declare this:
I deactivate all lust triggers in my body and spirit. All lustful files, pornographic images, sounds, feelings, and emotions rooted in my body and spirit, I delete all of them.
Do A Thorough Cleansing
Repent. Repentance is not only asking for forgiveness from God that you have been lustful, committing sexual immorality, but also doing a holistic cleansing process cleaning yourself, your relationships, your house— permanently discarding all lustful and immoral materials that belong to you such as photos, videos, movies, audios, and reading materials.
Also, as a symbolic gesture of washing away lust and all kinds of uncleanness from your body and spirit, take a bath. Wash yourself with soap and water thoroughly.
Consecrate Your Mind & Heart
Fully commit your mind and heart to be holy to God. He commanded us to be holy because He is holy.
Without a strong commitment to holiness, your mind and heart would be weak to stand against lust. Your strong commitment would stand strong against lust because your mind and heart are passionately geared towards purity and holiness. With your will aligned with God’s will to be holy, you are endowed with divine power to relentlessly neutralize lust not only on yourself but also on other people’s lives struggling with lust.
To consecrate your mind and heart, pray this:
Father in heaven, I consecrate my mind and heart to be holy because You are holy. I commit my mind and heart to walk in the path of holiness. I commit to neutralize lust and sexual immorality as long as I live. Amen
Fill Your Mind & Heart With Truths
Truth sets free. John 8:32
Without truth, a pure mind cannot stand strong by itself against lust. Truth is your weapon against lust and any evil; therefore, without truth, you are vulnerable to evil.
What is truth?
To know truth, know God. Without God, you can know things, but you won’t know if what you know is true or not; particularly, things that are unseen, and even things we see that are tangible but are not categorized as truth such as idols because they are false gods.
To know God, know His thoughts and ways. Know His word, His will and works written in the Bible and meditate on it day and night. He will reveal Himself to you. He will give you wisdom to understand who He is, He will open your spiritutal eyes and ears, to see and hear what no eye has seen and what no ear has heard.
It is only by God’s grace that evil forces cannot entirely ruin your life in your journey towards your destiny in the Lord. With God, you will know the truth that you need to stand strong, passionate, and powerful against lies, deception, lust, sexual immorality, and all kinds of sin and wickedness.
Read and meditate on the Word of God. Study and learn. Hear and obey God’s voice.
The thoughts that your mind filtered and digested will be stored in your root directory which contains the knowledge chamber where data are stored, and the gallery chamber where images are stored. So to get rid of lust, lustful data and images should be uprooted from your root directory.

Outline:
Your spirit
Your mind and heart are parts of your spirit. In fact, I would like to infer that all parts of our physical body are symbolic of all parts of our spirit, that is why, we can read in the Bible that man is endowed with the ability to see, hear, and feel the spirit realms. It is the faculty of our spirit that is able to relate with God, who is a spirit, and the spiritual world.
Your spirit is the life of your body. Without your spirit, your body is dead.
Your spirit and body are one. When the spirit disconnects from the body, the body dies because the life of the body is in the spirit. Whatever your body does, it is processed in your spirit by your mind. Everything you think, you do, you emote, you react, you respond—they are all choices you make in your mind. You make them in a span of time—instantly or in a moment or in a while or even automatically.
Therefore, everything about you, your thoughts, intentions, feelings, emotions, ways, deeds, reactions and responses are inscribed in the book of life. You are held accountable in the courts of heaven.
Therefore, to get rid of lust is a choice you have to make, and you have to go through all the vital points where lust is triggered and activated; there, you have to deactivate them.
But deactivating them is not enough; you have to uproot them from your root directory. Your root directory is in your mind and heart.
Your mind and heart are intertwined. Whatever is in your mind will go down to your heart; whatever is in your heart will go up to your mind. Your mind does the manual thinking operation in processing thoughts and making choices, while the heart does the automated thinking operation—whatever thoughts the mind has digested will go down to the heart which will automatically activate the energy to achieve the goal of the conscious or subconscious mind.
The choice made by your mind to get rid of lust may not be enough to stand alone and be successful in neutralizing the attacks of lust if your heart is not fully committed to get rid of lust. Why? It is because your heart, when fully committed and passionate to walk in the path of holiness, generates the powerful energy to deactivate lust triggers and subdue any wicked entity trying to defile you in the physical and spiritual world.
Be Passionate in Pursuing Holiness
If you lack the passion to pursue holiness, you are vulnerable to lust. If you are fully committed to walk in holiness, your commitment will make you passionate in pursuing holiness. Therefore, lack of commitment equals lack of passion. Full commitment equals full passion.
Why is passion vital and crucial in pursuing holiness? Passion is like a burning flame producing a powerful energy and force to achieve its pursuit to holiness that is why lust and unclean spirit cannot survive in its flaming path.
A passionate heart pursuing holiness is one who is passionate in God, loving Him above all, even more than his life, and more than the pleasures of this world.
A passionate heart is not made overnight. But it starts with a full-hearted commitment that will pursue the will and ways of God in the path of holiness in a corrupt and lustful world. Surely, one with a passionate heart is like a consuming fire that sanctifies the physical and spiritual world within his or her area of spiritual responsibility and jurisdiction.
Lust Triggers
Let’s define lust
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article is about the carnal desire. For other uses, see Lust (disambiguation).
Lust is a psychological force producing intense desire for something.[1][2] Lust can take any form such as the lust for sexuality (see libido), money, or power. It can take such mundane forms as the lust for food (see gluttony) as distinct from the need for food or lust for redolence, when one is lusting for a particular smell that brings back memories. It is similar to but distinguished from passion, in that passion propels individuals to achieve benevolent goals whilst lust does not.
My War Against Lust
The day I was born again, I became a new creation. It was like love at first sight with God, the Father ( 2 Cor. 5:17).
While the congregation was singing in the Spirit with heavenly tunes and languages, with closed eyes, I saw a bright light shine upon me, heard God’s voice, and felt God’s love intensely. Conviction broke my heart to tears and to repentance. That love burned my heart with a passion to stay in His awesome presence. Then, seeing heaven and God’s Throne, hearing God’s voice, and seeing His angels in visions and dreams became a frequent experience. I was transformed.
The desire to sin was gone. I felt pure and holy, free from sin in thought, word, or deed. As I devoured the Bible and pondered every truth and principle, God showed me the things I must eliminate. Repentance and renunciation of sins since childhood were the main events throughout the following weeks. The first two years of my conversion were an intimate and wonderful experience with God.
